Walker, MI (December 28, 2023) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a motor vehicle collision that took place on Wednesday evening in Kent County. Calls for assistance came in at approximately 7:00 p.m. on December 27.

According to reports provided by the Michigan State Police, the northbound side of US Highway 131 was blocked as a result of a motor vehicle accident that took place in the area just after Ann Street. The incident prompted the response of the police, firefighters, and emergency medical service personnel. Victims were provided treatment while at the scene by responding EMS. Those who required further medical attention were transported to local hospitals. The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
