Bedford Twp., MI (December 28, 2023) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a 20-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio, lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Tuesday evening in Monroe County. Calls for assistance came in at approximately 4:20 p.m. on December 26.

Reports from the Sheriff’s office indicate that the man was traveling north on Lewis Avenue while driving a black 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. As the vehicle proceeded forward, it collided with a gray 2013 Ford Explorer near Smith Road. The motorcyclist was severely hurt in the crash. The victim was rushed to a hospital in Toledo, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. At this time, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
