Detroit, MI (December 27, 2023) – The police, firefighters, and EMS responded to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Detroit and sent at least one person to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. The accident was reported at approximately 12:15 p.m. on December 26.
Michigan State Police reports show that vehicles collided on the westbound side of Interstate 94. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway just after Haggerty Road. Emergency crews remained at the scene extensively as they worked to remove the involved vehicles from the roadway. Emergency medical services were summoned to provide care to the injured victims while on site. At least one of the people involved in the crash was transported to a local medical facility, where they were provided further care for the injuries they suffered. At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are ongoing.
