Wayne, MI (December 25, 2023) – On Sunday evening, the police and firefighters out of Wayne County were called to provide help at the scene of a vehicle collision that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on December 24, 911 dispatchers were notified that an automobile collision occurred on Interstate 96. According to official reports, a vehicle collision blocked the entrance ramp and the right shoulder of the interstate along the westbound side of the road. The crash caused some delays in the area near Livernois Street. Emergency medical services responded to care for the injured victims while on site. At least one of the people involved in the crash required further medical attention and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
