Springfield, MI (December 21, 2023) – One person has lost their life following a head-on collision that occurred on Monday morning in the Springfield area. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident at approximately 2:30 a.m. on December 18.

Reports provided by the Sheriff’s office indicate that two vehicles collided head-on on Dickman Road near Base Avenue. A 45-year-old man involved in the accident was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second driver was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Missouri, for the treatment of serious injuries. The crash is currently under investigation.
