Sheridan Twp., MI (December 18, 2023) – A man and woman were hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday in Mecosta County. The accident was reported just before 10:00 p.m. on December 16.

Reports provided by the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office Deputies indicate that two vehicles collided near the intersection of 30^th Avenue and Arthur Road. Further investigations determined that a 17-year-old male from the Pierson area was traveling eastbound on Arthur Road. For unknown reasons, his vehicle proceeded through a stop sign and collided with a second vehicle, which was traveling north on 30^th Avenue. Two people in the second vehicle, identified as a 63-year-old male and a 69-year-old woman, were both injured. The two victims were transported to Corewell Health Hospital for emergency care. The teen was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
