Burton, MI (December 18, 2023) – Emergency crews out of Genesee County were requested to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident in Burton that resulted in injuries. Calls for help came in at around 12:12 p.m. on December 17.
Michigan State Police troopers and firefighters were summoned to provide assistance at the site of the accident, which blocked multiple northbound lanes on Interstate 475. Authorities closed off the roadway just after Exit 4 at Bristol Road as they worked to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Emergency medical services responded to care for the injured victims. Those who required further medical care were transported by ambulance to local hospitals. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
