Romulus, MI – Accident Reported at I-94 & Shook Rd

Romulus, MI (December 17, 2023) – On December 17, officers with the Michigan State Police assisted area firefighters on-site at a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Romulus area.

At approximately 6:10 p.m., vehicles collided on the westbound side of Interstate 94. The incident caused severe disruptions in the area just past Shook Road. Vehicles came to rest, blocking the center lane, the right lane, and the right shoulder on the road. Emergency crews worked to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Medical personnel tended to the injured victims before transporting them to area hospitals. At this time, the Michigan State Police are investigating.
