Calhoun Co., MI – Crash at I-94 & Capital Ave Results in Injuries

Calhoun Co., MI (December 16, 2023) – The Michigan State Police and area firefighters out of Calhoun were called to the scene of a crash that took place during the evening hours on Friday, December 15. The Michigan Department of Transportation informed officials at approximately 5:40 p.m. that they were needed at the scene of the crash.

Preliminary investigations show that vehicles collided on the westbound side of Interstate 94 at Exit 97 for Capital Avenue. The incident prompted authorities to close a portion of the roadway as they worked to remove the involved vehicles. At least one of the people involved in the crash was injured and transported to a local hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
