Stevensville, MI (December 13, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident that took place in Berrien County on Tuesday morning, December 12. The accident was reported to the Michigan State Police at approximately 7:00 a.m.
According to local law enforcement, a Chevrolet Tahoe was heading eastbound on Interstate 94 during the morning hours. As the vehicle passed through the area of the Red Arrow Highway overpass bridge, it collided with a guardrail and a GMC Terrain. The drivers of both vehicles, identified as a 58-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, both exited their vehicles after the collision.
For unknown reasons, they were struck by a passing car and a semi-truck. Both of the victims were severely hurt in the crash. Emergency medical services transported the man and woman to area hospitals for advanced care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
