Oak Park, MI (December 10, 2023) – A motor vehicle collision reported early Saturday morning claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on December 9.

Reports provided by the Michigan state police out of Oakland confirmed that a vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of 8 Mile Road and Coolidge Highway. The incident blocked multiple lanes just east of Lodge Freeway as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. A 27-year-old man involved in the accident was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that the victim passed away from his injuries. At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
