Regrettably, we often see victims left with significant spinal cord fractures, broken bones, internal organ injuries, and other injuries that affect their lives forever.
After being hurt in a car accident, it is vital to understand what damages you may be able to recover. There are economic damages, which include medical expenses and property damage. This covers any costs related to medical treatment, such as hospital bills, medications, therapy sessions, and even future medical expenses. Property damage encompasses the repair or replacement costs for your vehicle or any other damaged property.
There are non-economic damages, which refer to the physical and emotional pain and suffering endured due to the accident. This can include compensation for physical injuries such as disfigurement or disability, as well as emotional distress like anxiety or depression caused by the incident.
In some cases, punitive damages may also be awarded if the at-fault party's actions were grossly negligent. It is important to understand that every car crash case is unique.
