Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families.
According to traffic experts, a head-on crash takes place when a motorist drives against the flow of traffic and collides with a vehicle traveling in the correct direction. As per official statistics, these drivers kill over 360 people annually in the United States. Between 2011 and 2016, eight motorists lost their lives in these accidents in Michigan.
While the causes of these collisions may vary, negligent driving is almost always to blame. The following are the primary reasons:
If you or a family member were injured in an accident caused by a negligent motorist in Michigan, you could file a lawsuit against that driver. Never is it permissible to drive in the opposite direction on an adequately marked road. Injuries and other losses suffered by victims are the sole responsibility of the driver who engaged in this conduct.
In personal injury litigation, these damages, which frequently include compensation for mental suffering, physical injury and deformity, and ongoing trauma, are sought in restitution. For instance, individuals who take the incorrect route frequently sustain severe injuries and fractured bones. Others have severe brain injuries, spine injuries, and other severe traumas that require surgery and medical care.
Additionally, the family of a person who died in a collision may submit a lawsuit for wrongful death. Past medical expenses, funeral or burial costs, loss of consortium, and other costs may be included in the demise of a loved one's compensation.
