Flint Twnshp, MI - Fatal Car Wreck Shuts Down I-69 Near Bristol Rd

Flint Township, MI (December 2, 2023) - All lanes of eastbound I-69 were closed due to a collision near the Bristol Road interchange on Friday morning, December 1, in Flint Township.

The collision was documented at approximately 10:55 a.m. on Friday. All three lanes of the interstate were closed, and traffic was being redirected off the Bristol Road departure approach, according to the Flint Township Police Department. At approximately 12:30 p.m., roadway reopening occurred. The police could not specify the cause of the collision or the extent of the injuries sustained by the motorists, though reports state that a possible fatality may have occurred as a result of the incident. An investigation is still active and ongoing, and Flint officers asked witnesses to get in touch.
