Detroit, MI (November 28, 2023) - On Tuesday, November 28, two or three drivers crashed at an intersection in the city of Detroit, resulting in at least one injury. At around 9:10 p.m., an accident occurred on 24 Mile Road near Romeo Plank. When the Macomb County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived, they discovered that two or three drivers were involved in the collision. They did, however, initially withhold further details about the casualties and the circumstances surrounding the incident. Emergency medical technicians were sent to the incident site to evaluate the injured; however, details about the extent of the injuries and the victims' current state have not been released to the public. Although no new details have been released, the joint investigation by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office and the Detroit police is still underway.
Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their loved ones.
A car crash occurs somewhere in the United States around every 10 to 15 seconds, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Given the grim statistics for Michigan and the nation as a whole, it should not be shocking that automobile accidents account for the vast majority of personal injury claims that are now being heard in our courts.
You should still consult with a lawyer even if you were in an automobile accident, even if you don't feel injured and the case looks straightforward. Research has shown that having legal representation may boost your compensation as a plaintiff in court. Admittedly, many victims are concerned about the potential exorbitant expense of hiring an attorney. Moreover, the majority of attorneys specializing in personal injury practice take claims on a contingency fee basis.
It may be beneficial to have legal representation in many different situations. Your lawyer will bargain on your behalf with the insurance provider and any other parties. You can be sure that your lawyer will look into the case in great detail, track down the relevant parties, and make a strong case for you being paid for the damages you suffered. Subsequently, potential witnesses may be questioned to get further details.
