Jamestown Township, MI (November 18, 2023) - According to authorities, an accident south of Hudsonville on Sunday afternoon resulted in three persons being injured.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office reports that the collision occurred just after 3:00 p.m. in Jamestown Township, near the junction of 32nd Avenue and Greenly Street. An 18-year-old Detroit resident was allegedly going west on Greenly Street in a gray Volkswagen Beetle when he failed to stop at the 32nd Avenue stop sign, according to deputies. He then hit a GMC Equinox being driven south on 32nd Avenue by an 18-year-old Hudsonville resident, causing it to roll over and strike a truck. According to authorities, both vehicle drivers were hurt and sent to the hospital. At the site, first responders treated the truck driver for minor injuries, while two passengers in the Equinox were said to be unharmed. An investigation remains ongoing in the interim.
