Detroit, MI (October 19, 2023) - On Thursday morning, a bus operated by Detroit City crashed with a median wall, sending two passengers to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to local officers, just before 5:00 a.m. on October 19, a D-DOT bus collided along Vernor Highway near Springwells on Detroit's southwest side.
Police have determined that the bus crashed into the median wall. A few bus passengers who had complained of discomfort and other minor injuries were checked out at a nearby hospital, but no life-threatening injuries were recorded.
The accident prompted police to restrict the roadway for several hours as they determined what caused it.
No other information has been made public, but an investigation is still ongoing at this time.
