Detroit, MI (October 18, 2023) - A collision on Wednesday, October 18, forced the closure of a local intersection, per officers with the Detroit Police Department and Macomb County deputies.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation and Macomb County authorities, the incident occurred at 3:15 p.m. Police responded to 23 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue after several drivers collided near the juncture. After being evaluated by officials at the site, several people were released, with at least one person transferred to a local hospital.
Officers from the Detroit Police Department are now investigating the incident, though they have not commented on whether or not citations will be issued.
