Detroit, MI (October 2, 2023) - On Monday, October 2nd, a car exited Interstate 96 for unknown reasons and slammed into a tree in the median, injuring two individuals, according to the state police.
One 19-year-old female passenger was ejected from the car. She and the 22-year-old male driver were both rushed to the nearest hospital to receive further medical attention. A report on their current conditions was unavailable, however.
The incident occurred late Monday evening on eastbound I-96, close to the Walker Road exit. Troopers with the Michigan State Police have confirmed that their investigation into the collision is ongoing and have not said whether any other vehicles were involved in the incident at this time.
