Detroit, MI (September 29, 2023) - On Friday, September 29, at least one person was hurt in a collision involving two or three vehicles traveling westbound on Interstate 696 in the city of Detroit.

An accident happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 696 close to the Michigan Highway 10 transition at around 12:50 p.m. Upon arrival, officers from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office found that two or three drivers were involved in the crash. However, officials are still unclear about the events leading up to the accident.

Emergency medical technicians were sent to the scene to assess the injured; however, information on the severity of their injuries and the victims' current conditions has not been made public.

The collaborative investigation by the Detroit police and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office is still ongoing, although no new information has been released publicly.
