Detroit, MI (September 22, 2023) - On Friday afternoon, September 22, officers with the Detroit Police Department received a collision alert and a report of injuries at the scene of a multiple-vehicle accident on 30 Mile Road.
Right around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection with Powell Road, an accident occurred, as reported by the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation. Reports of a two-car crash with a handful of victims prompted officials to close all lanes at the juncture and call for backup from local authorities.
It is unclear how many persons were brought to the hospital, but paramedics quickly assessed and treated all injured parties. The authorities are still looking into the crash and will provide further details when they become available.
