Detroit, MI (August 21, 2023) - A collision involving at least two vehicles and apparent injuries occurred on eastbound Interstate 96 in the Detroit metropolitan area on Monday afternoon, August 21.
Early information released by the Detroit PD indicates that a multi-car accident took place on the right side of I-96 at around 3:30 p.m., not far from the off-ramp to Milford Road. Emergency medical technicians in Detroit were dispatched by both the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation to assist at the scene.
After DPD police shut down all lanes of traffic, paramedics arrived and began treating the wounded. The victims' conditions, however, have not been made public in the interim.
The DPD has issued a public plea for any and all information that could be able to assist their ongoing investigation. No new details regarding the victims involved have been released.
