Jefferson Twnshp, MI (August 9, 2023) - On Monday, August 7th, a serious vehicle collision in Jefferson Township left four persons wounded, according to the Michigan State Police.
Just before 7:00 p.m., troopers were sent to the intersection of Beecher Road and Pittsford Road, where they discovered four injured victims, two of them children.
A preliminary inquiry revealed that a 32-year-old Jerome resident was driving the car before crashing at the intersection for unknown reasons. Lt. Kevin Rod, commander of the Michigan State Police Jackson Post, said the driver injured their knee, and their front seat passenger hit their head on the windshield. Two children in the backseat suffered minor injuries in the incident.
The four people inside the vehicle were taken to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital by several different ambulances. No further details were released in connection with the crash, though the investigation into the accident is active and ongoing.
