Macomb Township, MI (August 1, 2023) - Macomb Police Department officers responded to a three-vehicle wreck with at least two victim injuries on Tuesday afternoon, August 1, and asked for any available witnesses to aid their ongoing investigation.
Per a scanner alert released around 2:15 p.m. by Macomb County authorities, the car accident occurred at the intersection of Hall Road and Romeo Plank when three drivers collided.
After closing off the area, police sought aid from Macomb-area emergency medical technicians, who arrived at the scene of the crash shortly after the dispatch was made. According to the witness accounts and preliminary reports that have been made available, the incident resulted in injuries that necessitated an elderly couple to seek additional care at a nearby hospital.
Though the investigation is still active and ongoing, preliminary reports suggest that one of the drivers ran a red light, causing the crash.
