Twining, MI (July 31, 2023) - On Friday afternoon in Arenac County, a semi-truck reportedly rear-ended another car, killing the driver.
A 63-year-old man from Grand Blanc Township was killed at 12:30 p.m. on Monday when his car was hit by a large truck while traveling north on Michigan Highway 65 near Twining.
Investigators say the man's car crossed into oncoming traffic after the initial wreck and collided with a pickup truck towing a camper in the southbound lanes. Despite emergency assistance from paramedics on the scene, the man's injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead before he could be taken to a local medical center.
There has been no word about the condition of the other motorists, but investigators with the Michigan State Police are still reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash and have not released additional details.
