Shelby Township, MI (July 31, 2023) - On Sunday morning, July 30, Macomb County deputies responded to the site of a serious multi-driver crash and subsequent rollover with reported injuries at the intersection of Van Dyke Avenue and 23 Mile Road.
Early reports from the Macomb County Sheriff's Office indicate that the accident happened just before 9:15 a.m. and involved several drivers. Local surveillance footage showed a major collision at the Van Dyke and 23 Mile junction before one of the vehicles flipped over, landing on its roof.
After officers shut down several lanes of traffic, paramedics arrived and evaluated the victims for injuries. However, no details regarding the drivers or their injuries have been made public.
Macomb County officials are seeking witness statements for their ongoing investigation but have not yet released further information about those involved.
