Detroit, MI (July 31, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department was informed that two vehicles collided on westbound Interstate 94 on Sunday, July 31.
An incident was reported on the eastbound side of the highway at the Gratiot Avenue off-ramp at about 10:00 a.m., and the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation responded. After hearing reports of a serious collision involving many cars and persons, authorities shut off lanes of traffic and asked for reinforcements.
Shortly later, paramedics arrived to help the wounded, but authorities still didn't know how serious their conditions were.
The DPD has made an appeal to any potential witnesses to come forward. The police investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released when they become available.
