Detroit, MI (July 29, 2023) - Officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to a two-car accident with injuries on Saturday morning, July 29, and are now seeking witnesses for their investigation.
The Michigan Department of Transportation initially reported the incident on westbound Interstate 94 at around 10:30 a.m. At least two drivers collided in an apparent rear-end accident in the right lanes just after Shook Road.
DPD officers cordoned off the area and requested an emergency response from paramedics. EMTs arrived shortly thereafter and appeared to treat several victims at the scene, though no information about the drivers or their injuries has been made public.
An investigation remains active and ongoing, but the DPD has not provided additional details in the meantime.
The injured victims and their loved ones are in our thoughts. We hope for their complete recovery at this time.
