Detroit, MI (July 29, 2023) - On Friday night, July 28, at about 9:25 p.m., two men were hurt after their motorcycles crashed on Challis Road near Dorr Road in Genoa Township.
The initial crash report and notice alert from the Livingston County Sheriff's Office stated that a 41-year-old Howell man riding a 2021 Ducati Panigale slowed down at Challis Road. Shortly thereafter, a 41-year-old man from Detroit was riding a 1981 Honda CN750 when he collided with the first man.
Livingston County Emergency Medical Services took both motorcycles to the U-M Hospital in Ann Arbor for treatment. The man from Detroit remains in extremely critical condition, while the other victim from Howell is seriously hurt but stable.
There is no evidence that alcohol played a role in the collision, though CHP troopers will continue investigating over the coming week.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their complete recovery.
