Detroit, MI (July 27, 2023) - On Monday evening, July 24, officers from the Detroit Police Department went to a three-car accident that resulted in injuries and are presently interviewing witnesses.
The event, which happened on westbound Interstate 94 at around 7:20 p.m., was originally reported by the Michigan Department of Transportation. It appears like at least three vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision in the right lanes just beyond Little Mack.
DPD officers set up a perimeter and called for an immediate medical response. No information on the drivers or their injuries has been made public, but immediately after the crash, EMTs came and seemed to treat many patients at the scene.
The DPD has not revealed any new information as the inquiry continues.
The injured victims and their loved ones are in our thoughts. We hope for their complete recovery at this time.
