Detroit, MI (July 27, 2023) - On Thursday morning, July 27, police in the Detroit region responded to an incident involving many vehicles and reports of injuries on Interstate 94.
Police in Detroit said it happened at 10:35 p.m. on the westbound left shoulder of I-94 near Livernois. The DPD and the Michigan Department of Transportation report that police blocked off most lanes of traffic and then called for emergency medical services and fire rescue.
Despite the rapid response of paramedics when DPD police partially closed the roadway, no details about the drivers or their injuries have been made public. Injured victims may or may not have been sent to a local hospital for additional treatment.
DPD authorities have issued an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward and aid in the department's investigation.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their complete recovery.
