Detroit, MI (July 27, 2023) - On Thursday, July 27, Detroit police were called to a fatal collision on the westbound side of Interstate 96.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the collision that happened around 7:00 p.m. included at least two vehicles. The whole right shoulder was closed off at Alpine Avenue.
Following the initial allegation, DPD officers roped off the area and made an emergency medical services contact around ten minutes later. There hasn't been any information made public about the drivers' injuries, though.
The DPD has been in charge of conducting investigations and intends to inform the public of any additional information as it becomes available.
