Harrison Township, MI (July 26, 2023) - Officers from the Harrison Police Department were summoned to the site of an accident on Interstate 75 Wednesday morning, July 26, and tentatively reported victim injuries.
The Harrison Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation confirm that the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on I-75 southbound, right after Needmore Road in Harrison Township, not far from Detroit. Before contacting emergency personnel, officers closed the right side of the roadway to conduct an on-site investigation.
Paramedics arrived on the scene not long after HPD officers had blocked off the area. That said, no information regarding the drivers' injuries or specifics surrounding the incident has been made public. It's uncertain if anyone received additional care at a nearby hospital.
Though the cause of the crash is still being investigated, DPD authorities urged any witnesses to come forward and assist the inquiry.
