Detroit, MI (July 26, 2023) - On Wednesday afternoon, July 26, police in Detroit were called to the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 in Clinton Township in response to a report of injuries sustained in what appeared to be a rear-end accident.
According to the DPD and the Michigan DOT, the incident occurred in the highway's middle and left lanes after Harper Road at roughly 4:30 p.m. The road was closed, and rescue workers were dispatched after an accident.
Despite the rapid response of paramedics when the route was partially stopped by DPD police, no details about the drivers or their injuries have been made public. Injured victims may or may not have been sent to a local hospital for additional treatment.
DPD authorities have issued an appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward and aid in the department's investigation.
