Saginaw, MI (July 25, 2023) - A crash in Saginaw Township flipped a pickup vehicle onto its side and ended in serious injuries for at least one person, according to the police.
The Saginaw Township Police Department reported that on Monday, July 24, officers responded to a crash at the corner of Hemmeter Road and Weiss Street. The responding officer stated that a female driver was heading south on Hemmeter when she ran a red light and collided with an eastbound truck on Weiss.
The pickup vehicle rolled onto its side, injuring the driver, who was brought to the hospital for additional treatment, according to Lt. Rick Herren of the Saginaw Township Police Department. According to Herren, the other driver was left unhurt and issued a citation for failing to obey a traffic control device.
An investigation still remains ongoing in the interim, and further details will be released as they become available.
