Detroit, MI (July 24, 2023) - On July 24 at night, reports of injuries from a rear-end collision on westbound Interstate 94 prompted the Detroit Police Department to dispatch an officer.
The DPD and the Michigan Department of Transportation said that the incident happened at approximately 7:20 p.m. in the highway's center and left lanes just before Grand Boulevard. The route was closed while police conducted their investigation, prompting the dispatch of rescue workers.
Despite the rapid response of paramedics when the route was partially stopped by DPD police, no details about the drivers or their injuries have been made public. It's unknown if any of the victims were taken to a local hospital for additional treatment.
DPD police have requested assistance from any witnesses who may have information about the crash.
