Overisel Twp, MI (July 17, 2023) - Five people were hurt, with one in critical condition, after a two-vehicle collision in the Overisel Township area on Sunday, July 16.
The accident was reported at the intersection of 40th Avenue and 47th Street when the driver of an eastbound Ford Explorer failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver collided with a southbound Ford Edge at around 4 p.m.
One person in the Edge sustained critical injuries, and three others in the SUV were also hurt. The driver of the Explorer was also seriously injured and hospitalized.
The critical victim was airlifted from the scene by a West Michigan Air Care helicopter. No additional information has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
