Newton Twp, MI (July 16, 2023) - On Saturday night, July 15, there were reported injuries after a car accident in Newton Township.
The accident was reported at around 6:17 p.m. at the intersection of US-2 and Gould City Road. All east and westbound lanes on the highway were shut down as emergency responders were present. The injured parties were treated at the scene before being transported to local hospitals.
The roadway was later reopened after tow trucks and emergency crews were able to clear the resulting debris.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
