Kalkaska, MI (July 10, 2023) - Two drivers were injured after another person tried to pass a car on M-72 in Kalkaska on Monday, July 3.
At around 12:45 p.m., a 24-year-old Berkley woman was traveling eastbound in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck when she tried to pass another vehicle. This was when she collided with an oncoming green Mini Cooper driven by a 45-year-old Kalkaska man.
Both drivers were transported to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Speed is believed to have played a role in the collision.
An ongoing investigation into the full cause of the accident is in progress.
