Kalkaska, MI (July 10, 2023) - On Monday, July 3, a motorcyclist was killed after being involved in a crash with another motor vehicle in the Kalkaska area.
A 43-year-old man was riding a black 2016 Harley Davidson headed westbound on Bally Road as his wife traveled on another bike next to him. The man’s motorcycle was hit by a silver 2016 Ford Fusion near Seeley Road, causing the bike to spin out and hit the vehicle.
The Ford left the roadway and hit multiple trees as the rider continued through the intersection. A nearby witness attempted to perform CPR on the rider, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Fusion was treated and then released.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is underway.
