Lansing, MI (July 4, 2023) - Five people were hurt following a car accident in the Lansing area on Tuesday morning, July 4.
The collision involved two vehicles and was reported at the intersection of Larch Street and Michigan Avenue at around 5:37 a.m. The driver of a silver Camry reportedly crashed into a red Ford Mustang. The impact resulted in debris being strewn across the intersection.
Both alcohol and speed are believed to have played a role in the accident. Two people in the Mustang and three in the Camry were injured. The driver of the Camry fled the scene and is currently being pursued by authorities.
The area was closed for several hours while emergency units were present.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
