Sherman Twp, MI (July 3, 2023) - Four people were hurt, with two being listed in critical condition, after a car accident in Sherman Township on Saturday, July 1.
The accident was reported at the intersection of Custer and Sugar Grove Roads at around 2:21 p.m. Apparently, a 2015 grey Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver collided with a northbound black 2021 GMC Denali.
The GMC overturned several times before coming to a rest in a nearby ditch. Both occupants of the Nissan were unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle. Both parties were transported to Grand Rapids Hospital in critical condition.
Both occupants of the GMC were also treated for sustained injuries.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
