Van Buren Charter Twp, MI (June 30, 2023) - A pileup crash in Van Buren Charter Township on Thursday, June 29, left one dead and two others injured.
The accident was reported at the intersection of Haggerty and Van Born Roads at around 5 p.m. as a black Chevrolet HHR was traveling on Haggerty Road. The Chevy was hit by a gray Lincoln MKX traveling southbound. The HHR was struck again by a second vehicle, a blue Chevrolet Equinox.
The 77-year-old Canton Township woman driving the HHR was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Both other drivers were also hospitalized. No updates on their conditions have been provided.
Local authorities are handling the ongoing accident investigation.
