Temperance, MI (June 29, 2023) - Two people were hospitalized after a driver crashed into a home in Temperance on Thursday morning.

A driver was traveling at the corner of Sterns Road and Reed Drive at around 1:30 a.m. when they went through a yard and crashed into a bedroom. Four people were inside the home at the time of the crash, and the wall was completely destroyed.

Two people in their 50s were sleeping when the vehicle crashed into the room, and both were pinned underneath the car. They were hospitalized for treatment, with a male victim being taken to the Intensive Care Unit with a head injury.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot.
