Evergreen Twp, MI - Head-On Crash at Vickeryville & Colby Rd Leaves Two Dead

Evergreen Twp, MI (June 24, 2023) - On Thursday, June 22, two people were killed following a head-on collision in Evergreen Township. 

The deadly accident took place at the intersection of Vickeryville and Colby Roads at around 2:30 p.m. It was reported that a black Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a 69-year-old Stanton was headed northbound when it crossed the centerline. The truck crashed head-on with a silver Toyota Rav4 driven by a 58-year-old Sumner.

The crash caused airbags in both vehicles to be deployed, and both drivers were killed in the impact. The area was closed for several hours while emergency responders were present. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is in progress.
