Ash Twp, MI (June 23, 2023) - A truck driver was hurt in a deadly head-on collision reported on Wednesday, June 21, in Ash Township.
The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Oakville-Waltz and Maxwell Roads at around 5:25 p.m. A 56-year-old man was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck headed westbound when he crossed the centerline. The truck crashed head-on with a semi-truck driven by a 58-year-old Livonia man.
The driver of the Ford sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. The area was closed for some time while emergency responders were present.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
