Arlington Twp, MI (June 21, 2023) - On Monday, June 19, a driver was hurt after a high-speed pursuit ended in a fatal crash in Arlington Township.
The fatal accident was reported at the intersection of M-43 and 30th Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. A motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed on the highway while being chased by a Bangor Police Department patrol vehicle. The rider collided with a Ford pickup truck that was pulling out of a driveway. The pickup was then hit by the patrol car.
The Paw Paw man riding the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries. The 58-year-old driver of the truck and the police officer were also injured.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is in progress.
