Grant Twp, MI (June 19, 2023) - It is believed that a medical episode resulted in a deadly car crash in Grant Township on Friday night, June 16.

The fatal accident was reported on Winston Road at around 7 p.m. A man was driving a car on the roadway when he suffered a heart attack and went off the road, crashing into some trees. A front-seat passenger sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and a rear passenger were taken to Mercy Muskegon for treatment. The rear passenger was later transferred to Grand Rapids in critical condition.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
