According to the Insurance Information Institute, head-on collisions accounted for just over 10% of all fatal motor vehicle accidents in 2020, despite only making up less than 2% of registered collisions nationwide. Head-on crashes result in the deaths of an estimated 3,631 people each year, with tens of thousands more being injured. You should speak with a lawyer as soon as you can after suffering injuries in a car accident to start your compensation claim. For instance, if the statute of limitations runs out, you will virtually lose your right to any future settlement. You want to be sure you do not lose your right to full and fair compensation, so your attorney will make every effort to meet these and other important deadlines. You may be eligible for compensation if you or a member of your family suffered injuries as a result of someone else's carelessness. By making a personal injury claim, you may be able to ensure that the person responsible for your injuries is held accountable and that you are compensated for your losses.
