Cement City, MI (June 17, 2023) - A 17-year-old was killed after a motorcycle accident in Cement City on Friday, June 16.
The deadly accident was reported on US-127 near Michigan Avenue just after midnight. Two motorcycles were traveling north when they collided on the highway. The impact caused both riders to lose control of their bikes and crash.
The 17-year-old rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, was transported to Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson for treatment. The area was closed while emergency responders were present.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is in progress.
